Virtua offering Moorestown residents COVID-19 testing

Residents of Burlington County with active COVID-19 symptoms do not require an appointment for testing.

In order to continue providing residents of Burlington County and beyond with vital COVID-19 testing, Virtua Health opened a new COVID-19 testing center on Friday, July 10. The outdoor, tented center is adjacent to the Virtua Health & Wellness Center on Young Avenue in Moorestown.

Residents of Burlington County with active COVID-19 symptoms do not require an appointment for testing; all others must have a referral from a Virtua-affiliated physician.

The Moorestown location is a replacement for Virtua’s testing center in Willingboro, which opened on May 20 and closed July 7. In that time, more than 3,500 residents of Willingboro and the surrounding region received COVID-19 testing.

“The Willingboro testing location provided a tremendous service to a community experiencing disproportionate cases of COVID-19. Fortunately, we began seeing fewer and fewer people in June and July. That told us it was time to select a new location, and Moorestown is centrally located in our service area and easy to access from many major highways,” said Samuel Weiner, MD, a medical director with Virtua Health.

Hours of operations at the new Moorestown location are as follows:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to noon
  • Wednesday and Thursday: closed

The testing center is located at 401 Young Avenue in Moorestown.
