Local food drive aims to restock pantry’s shelves

The July 18 drive will collect donations at two locations

The Mt. Laurel Democratic Club is running a food drive to restock the pantry at Masonville United Methodist Church in Mt. Laurel that will culminate July 18 with two drop-off locations.

Donations can be delivered to Masonville United Methodist Church at 200 Masonville Road from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. or as a porch drop-off any time at 18 Winterberry Court. Both locations are in Mt. Laurel.

Requested items include both food and a variety of supplies. Non-perishables include shelf-stable foods, canned food (vegetables, fruit, meats and soup) boxed pasta, pasta sauces, peanut butter, jelly and cereal. Needed supplies include toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning products (dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent and dryer sheets).

Personal-care items are also greatly appreciated: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, deodorant and feminine hygiene products are all welcome.
