Peer-to-peer tutoring service being offered during pandemic

College and high school aged students provide support to students across the globe.

High schoolers band together to offering nationwide tutoring services to their peers.

Safe Solution Tutoring is a group of high school honors, AP, and IB students from around the country looking to make a positive impact while stuck at home. Everyone is affected by coronavirus differently, but for students, the one thing constant throughout our lives has been shut down for the first time ever.

The low-cost peer-to-peer tutoring service connects a student to a tutor via Zoom video conference calls. Shawnee High School graduate Sarah Adams explained tutors often share their computer screens with students to help explain classroom concepts and lessons.

Services are focused on middle and high school courses to give students a chance to related to someone of their age, explaining the ins and outs of a problem or homework assignment in terms easily understood by them.

College help is offered via counseling, standardized test prep, and summer workshops on debate, resume building, public speaking, creative writing, election campaigning and coding. A portion of proceeds are donated to a charity (currently Campaign Zero).
