Markeim Arts Center, in conjunction with the Historical Society of Haddonfield, is calling on all creative individuals – local, regional and beyond – to join together for a virtual art exhibition which expresses the state of the world in 2020 through the lens of the coronavirus pandemic.

Artists can submit their visions and interpretations of a COVID-19 world for a virtual gallery which is expected to be displayed on Markeim’s Facebook page. Entries can be submitted using a variety of media, including paintings, photography, sketches and sculpture. Participants are also encouraged to submit their creations to the Historical Society for inclusion within its Virus Year collection.

There is no charge to participate; however, given the current climate due to the pandemic, entrants should follow Markeim on Facebook and share the entire gallery once it is finished.

Digital submissions are required and should be sent to Markeim Arts Center at info@markeimartscenter.org preferably, or via DropBox with an accompanying email naming artist and work title.

Files should be no larger than 1MB. Please use the following naming convention for your JPG files: last name first initial-title.jpg. Example: smithj-city lights.jpg. Files that are not properly named will be rejected. Please limit your submissions to three.

Please include the title of work and artist name in your email to info@markeimartscenter.org, and send this information when you send via DropBox.

The deadline for all submissions, is Friday, June 12 at 12 p.m. The exhibition is planned to be open on Friday, June 19.

For more information, contact the Historical Society at (856) 429-7375 or online at: www.haddonfieldhistory.org.
