Camden County sees under 100 cases in daily count

The health department is announcing 54 confirmed cases of the disease today.

The Camden County Department of Health (DOH) is announcing nine new deaths caused by novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camden County, as well as 54 additional confirmed cases of the disease. This brings the aggregate number of confirmed positive cases to 6,429 in Camden County today and 313 total fatalities.

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

“It is with great sadness that we announce nine additional deaths caused by COVID-19 today. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those impacted by this virus and their families, and we are wishing a fast and full recovery to everyone who has tested positive,” said Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. “We are continuing to see improvements in our overall growth rate, and the county’s doubling rate has stayed above 30 days for several weeks. These encouraging developments are due entirely to the hard work and dedication of our residents. If we continue to social distance, wear a mask, and avoid crowded spaces, we will continue to see the number of new cases in Camden County decrease.”

The Department of Health is announcing 54 additional positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) identified in Camden County. Trace investigations are being facilitated with the patients and remain ongoing.

In addition, the county Department of Health is also announcing 1,092 confirmed resident cases and 358 confirmed staff cases have occurred out of the aggregate case load of 6,429 in our 56 long-term care facilities. At this current time 232 deaths have been reported from these facilities out of our 313 total fatalities countywide.
