Gloucester County reports 39 new COVID-19 cases for May 7

Additionally, county officials say three more residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 have died.

Gloucester County health officials have reported 39 new COVID-19 cases and three additional deaths on Thursday, May 7.

A 74-year-old man from Washington Township, a 58-year-old woman from Washington Township and a 91-year-old man from Woodbury have died, bringing Gloucester County’s total COVID-19 death toll up to 68.

Gloucester County has now had 1,555 positive cases since testing for COVID-19 began. A total of 6,784 tests have been conducted. Of these cases, 5,212 have come back negative and 17 are pending.

Here is a breakdown of the new COVID-19 cases by municipality:

  • Deptford – 10
  • East Greenwich – 1
  • Franklin Twp. – 2
  • Glassboro – 3
  • Mantua – 1
  • Monroe Twp. – 5
  • Pitman – 3
  • Washington Twp. – 6
  • West Deptford – 3
  • Woodbury – 4
  • Woolwich – 1
