Burlington County sponsoring drive-up food pantry in Mt. Laurel

Families are welcomed to the drive-up pantry to collect a box of goods.

Burlington County’s Board of Chosen Freeholders are sponsoring a drive-up food pantry by Holman Enterprises, the Food Bank of South Jersey and Farmers Against Hunger on May 8.

From 1 to 3 p.m. on May 8, residents can drive to the TIC Building for the distribution meant to provide assistance for families experiencing shortages in food.

“The Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders is dedicated to supporting our residents during this world-wide public health crisis so that they remain safe, have a place to stay and have enough to eat,” said Burlington County Freeholder Director Felicia Hopson. “This is an uncertain time and many of our community members are struggling to pay for basic necessities. It is our hope that the drive-up food Distribution events will help anyone in need.”

The pantry is open on a first come, first served basis. Burlington County Freeholders are currently scheduling additional food distribution dates for May.

For directions put TIC Building, 2001 Bishops Gate Blvd., Mt. Laurel, 08054 in GPS. All cars must enter from Briggs Road, vehicles cannot enter from Route 38.

No pedestrian traffic allowed, vehicles only and a limit of one box per family.

Keep windows closed and vehicle occupants must wear masks.
