Washington Twp. man arrested for burglary, theft from a vehicle

Police charged Joseph Ricci of Washington Township for stealing credit cards and a military identification from a vehicle.

Washington Township Police arrested a man on Tuesday for swiping credit and identification cards from a resident’s vehicle.

On March 31 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Joseph Ricci of Washington Township was taken into custody for burglary and theft from a motor vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was parked on Pine Street at the time of the incident. Taken during the theft were credit cards and a military identification. The suspect utilized the stolen credit cards to make purchases and was subsequently located by police with the stolen property in his possession.

Ricci was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree unlawful use of credit cards, fourth-degree theft of credit cards and a disorderly persons offense for receiving stolen property. He was released pending a future hearing.
