The following is a message from the Cherry Hill Food Pantry:
To all our Sponsors and Vendors,
As you might expect, we will be cancelling the Mall Walk scheduled for March 29 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
We invested a lot of time setting up the walk and requested donations from our friends, neighbors, volunteers and supporters. Many of them have already registered and donated. We have $2,900 in donations as of today. To keep that momentum going we will now have a “Virtual” Mall Walk to Fight Hunger instead of an actual one.
We are asking all of our supporters who have not already donated, to go to our website (www.cherryhillfoodpantry.org) and register for our “virtual” mall walk. Last year we raised $11,000 on the Mall Walk. We are hoping that it’s still possible to raise something close to that amount even though we are not actually walking. You can also send a check if you don’t want to use your credit card. Send checks to our mailing address: P.O. Box 8465 Cherry Hill NJ 08002 and mark the donation “Mall Walk”.
We suspect that as a consequence of the crisis we may have a lot more clients looking for food assistance due to unforeseen medical bills or having been unable to work due to the emergency shutdown of all public gatherings.
