COVID-19 Update: Harrison Township cancels committee meeting, bulk trash pick-up suspended

Harrison Township has also canceled all township social events, including Harrison Township Day, through June 1.

In addition to closures previously announced by Harrison Township, Mayor Lou Manzo and township officials sent out more cancellations on Monday afternoon.

Township officials have decided to cancel all  boardand committee meetings until further notice. The March 16 Township Committee has been canceled and township officials are reviewing the status of future committee meetings. After March 16, township officials are also suspending bulk trash pickup until further notice.

All township Recreation Commission events are cancelled through June 1, including the April 4 Easter Egg Hunt and May 2 Harrison Township Day. Refunds will be issued to parents enrolled in scheduled events and to all sponsors of Harrison Township Day. Registrations for summer programs is continuing for now.

Finally, the township construction office will continue to conduct “outdoor” inspections, but all “indoor” inspections will be suspended until further notice.
