BurlCo closes parks in response to COVID-19

Burlington County Health Department announced two additional cases of COVID on Sunday, March 15.  A 43-year-old Moorestown male was diagnosed, and his method of exposure is currently under investigation. A 63-year-old Eastampton woman was also diagnosed and is believe to have a travel associated case. 

Due to recommendations from the State of New Jersey and County Health Department to limit the community spread of COVID-19, Burlington County has announced that all county park facilities will be closed to the public beginning, Monday, March 16, until further notice. Trails will remain open, but buildings and restrooms will be closed. 

 All events and activities will be canceled all at locations.

 The following is a list of park locations:

  • Amico Island, Delran – only trails will be open
  • Boundary Creek, Moorestown 
  • Burlington County Agricultural Center, Moorestown  – all activities, events and classes canceled 
  • County Fairgrounds  – all activities, events and classes canceled
  • Crystal Lake Park, Mansfield  – only trails will be open 
  • Laurel Run, Delran – only trails will be open
  • Long Bridge Park, Hainesport – only trails will be open 
  • Pennington Park, Edgewater Park – only trails will be open
  • Rancocas Nature Center, Westampton  – only trails will be open
  • Smithville Park and Smith Woods, Eastampton – only trails will be open
  • Willingboro Lakes, Willingboro – closed
  •  Prison Museum and Warden’s House – closed
  • Lyceum of History and Natural Sciences  – closed
  • Smithville Mansion  – closed
  • Underground Railroad Museum  – closed
  • Workers House at Smithville  – closed
