Berlin schools receive new state aid figures

Berlin Borough School District sees increase in state aid, while Eastern Regional sees decrease

Following the release of Gov. Phil Murphy’s 2021 state budget proposal late last month, both the Berlin Borough School District and Eastern Camden County Regional School District received their state aid allocation figures for the upcoming fiscal year.

Berlin Community School will see a slight increase in its state aid, up from $3,990,939 to $4,151,015, an increase of $160,076 or approximately 4 percent. Meanwhile, Eastern Regional will lose a significant portion of its state aid next year, dropping from $9,099,650 to $8,731,243, which is a decrease of $368,407 or approximately 4.1 percent.
