Auction to support ‘Project Poppy’ comes to Kings Road next week

Borough encouraged to help fund Project Poppy, slated to come to HMHS this spring.

There will be an art auction to help Project Poppy, on Tuesday, March 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kings Road Brewing Company, 131 Kings Highway East.

Grab a pint, bring in dinner from a nearby downtown establishment and then enjoy an exhibit and art auction of unique poppy-inspired art donated by local artists.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Project Poppy, the upcoming public art installation slated for Haddonfield Memorial High School this spring, which will pay tribute to Remembrance Day, Memorial Day and the lives lost in World War I from the State of New Jersey.

A silent auction will last from 6 p.m to 9 p.m, and a live auction is expected to kick off at 7:30 p.m.

Jack O’Malley is slated to serve as presenter and auctioneer for the evening.
