Mantua Township patrol summary: Feb. 13 to 19

The following are on file at the Mantua Township Police Department.

Feb. 13

  • Officers along with the fire department responded to a resident that smelled natural gas inside her condo.
  • Units responded to the pharmacy department inside the Target store for a fraudulent prescription that was called in and then picked up.
  • Patrols responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 45 in the area of Heritage Road.
  • Units responded to a road rage incident that was reported on Lambs Road but turned out to have occurred in Harrison Township.
  • Officers took a report for a stolen purse from a vehicle that occurred in Wenonah.
  • Units performed a well-being check on a subject and sent him to the hospital for a crisis evaluation.
  • Patrols responded to a single-vehicle crash on Center Street by New Street in which a vehicle struck a pole.
  • Officers responded to a crash on Harrison Avenue by Route 45 in which two vehicles needed to be towed.
  • Ptl. Wolfsgruber conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. He was processed and released.

Feb. 14

  • Officers responded to the Snowy Owl development for a neighbor that was having trees removed from the common area.
  • Units responded to a minor crash in the Lowe’s parking lot.
  • Patrols responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Tollhouse Plaza.
  • Ptl. Donovan and his K9 partner, Boomer, visited Total Turf and said hello to the patrons there.
  • Patrols responded to a minor crash on Glassboro Road in the area of the super Wawa.
  • Ptl. Bair arrested a subject for cruelty to animals for malnourishment.
  • Sgt Herner conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. She was processed and released.

Feb. 15

  • Sgt. Herner arrested a woman on an outstanding warrant. She was processed and released.
  • Units responded to a homeowner that had his back glass door smashed by someone attempting to gain entry to the house. There was no entry made and nothing was missing.
  • Officers took a fraud complaint for a victim that had a cell phone purchased in their name in California.
  • Patrols responded to the super Wawa for a shoplifter that stole a hoagie and soda.
  • Sgt Herner conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested three subject for outstanding warrants and drug related offenses.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject for drug related offenses. He was processed and sent to the county jail.

Feb. 16

  • Officers responded to a noise complaint in Wenonah at 230 a.m.
  • Units responded to a report of a domestic disturbance that was called in by the neighbor.
  • Patrols responded to an elderly male that had passed during the night.
  • Officers took a harassment complaint where a female was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend.
  • Units responded to a neighbor complaint where the two neighbors were arguing with each other.
  • Patrols responded to a hit-and-run crash in which a parked vehicle was struck sometime during the day.
  • Officers responded to the Mantua Fire Museum on Main Street for a report of a loud rental.
  • Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject that was wanted out of Camden County. He was processed and turned over to the jail.

Feb. 17

  • Units responded to a male that had passed during the night.
  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject for drug related offenses.
  • Officers assisted the code enforcement officer by escorting him to a property.
  • Patrols responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Target store.
  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject for outstanding warrants as well as drug related offenses. He was placed in the county jail.

Feb. 18

  • Officers responded to two juveniles fighting at a bus stop.
  • Units responded to a crash involving a school bus on Glassboro Road by Tylers Mill Road. There were no children on the bus at the time.
  • Patrols responded to a solicitation complaint in the Sewell section.
  • Officers responded to Woodstream Court for parking complaints.
  • Units responded to a shoplifting at the Dollar Tree where the suspect fled prior to our arrival. Cpl. Lipsett was able to figure out who the suspect was and arrested him at his home in Pitman. He was charged with robbery and shoplifting and lodged in the county jail.
  • Patrols responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a deer in Wenonah on South Marion Road.

Feb. 19

  • Units responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between a couple. The female  left prior to our arrival and it was only an argument at that time.
  • The female from the above argument came back to the house and was harassing and threatening the male. She was arrested for outstanding warrants and lodged in the county jail.
  • Officers and the fire department responded to a contractor that had struck a gas service line.
  • Patrols responded to an elderly male that had passed a few days prior and was just found on this date.
  • Officers responded to a crash in Wenonah on Glassboro Road by Bankbridge Road.
  • Officers responded to an intoxicated male walking on Tristram Circle. He was assisted back to his residence.
  • Patrols responded to a young teenager that needed to go to crisis.
  • Units responded to a two-vehicle crash on Main Street by Mantua Boulevard.
  • Ptl Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for drug related charges. He was processed and released.
