CHS’s Gavin Gibson Scores 1,000th Career Point

Congratulations to Cherokee High School’s Senior Guard Gavin Gibson for scoring his 1,000th career point while playing against St. Augustine Prep at Paul VI Winter Classic Sunday, Feb. 8, 2020.

“Gavin Gibson is one on the best players to wear the orange and white,” said Eric Cassidy, coach of the boys’ basketball team. “He is a true leader on and off the court. I am very proud of his accomplishment.”

Gavin became the seventh player in Cherokee boys’ basketball history to score 1,000 career points.

The Chiefs won against St. Augustine Prep by a score of 54 to 47.
