Mount Laurel Baseball to host March 29 fundraiser at TopGolf

Tickets are now on sale for the all-weather event, which promises three hours of golf, buffet and big-ticket raffles

Mount Laurel Baseball invites the local community to its Field of Dreams Brunch fundraising event on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at TopGolf Mount Laurel. Admission and raffle tickets are now on sale at mlbtopgolftix.com.

This all-weather event, sponsored by Strive Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation, will allow Mount Laurel Baseball’s 12U teams to travel to Cooperstown, N.Y., this summer for a week of tournament play. Admission tickets are available at an early-bird price of $60 until March 1.

Mount Laurel Baseball is a Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken Baseball affiliate dedicated to providing a quality baseball program for the youth of Mount Laurel Township with a major emphasis on teaching teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. It provides recreational baseball programs for ages 5 to 18, as well as tournament/travel baseball programs for ages 7 to 18.

Those attending the baseball program’s fundraiser will be able to golf from TopGolf’s heated bays for the entirety of the event; admission includes a hot brunch buffet with unlimited nonalcoholic beverages. A cash bar will also be available, featuring $4 mimosas. Tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be sold on-site, and attendees can enter to win raffle prizes valued at more than $10,000.

“We’re so fortunate to have TopGolf opening its facility to us so this year’s fundraiser is even more accessible to the public,” said Laura Altobelli, one of the event’s coordinators. “We’ve also received an outpouring of unique prize donations from local businesses that exceeded our greatest expectations.”

In addition to items like gift cards from stores and restaurants, there will be raffles of children’s summer camp tuition, pet grooming, museum admissions and spin classes.

“TopGolf has contributed a platinum membership to our prize pool, and an orthodontist even donated a $1,000 credit toward braces,” Altobelli said. “A Cape May weekend getaway prize package is also in the works, so we really have something for everyone.”
