Washington Township Police were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot along Route 42 at 1:23 p.m. on Feb. 3 for the report of a suspicious object wrapped in tape in a shopping cart.
Upon arrival, the area was evacuated and the Camden County Bomb Squad was called to the scene. Upon investigation, the item was determined to be a stockpot wrapped in tape with fireplace ashes inside. Police cleared the scene at 3:15 p.m.
