One Sewell resident is dead and another injured following an accident on Delsea Drive Monday evening.
On Jan. 13 at about 8:36 p.m., Washington Township Police were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle crash on Delsea Drive in the area of Evans Lane.
According to police, a 2007 Lexus was traveling northbound on Delsea Drive when it crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a 2016 Land Rover head on.
The driver of the Lexus, 37-year-old John J. Myers Jr. of Sewell, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Land Rover, 51-year-old Jacquelin M. Petrongolo, was transported to Cooper Hospital and was in stable condition.
Delsea Drive was shut down between County House Road and Salina Road for approximately three hours following the crash. The crash remains under investigation. If anyone witnessed the crash or has information that would aid the investigation, contact officer Steven A. Pinnelli at [email protected].
