Hinchman Avenue to be closed Wednesday and Thursday for storm drainage work.

The project is expected to require stretches of both North and South Hinchman Avenue to be completely closed while crews are at work.

“Road closures can affect traffic patterns throughout the surrounding area as motorists shift along detours and alternate routes, so it’s important to be aware of this project and how it may impact your typical commute,” Cappelli said.

“Always plan ahead and be alert for sudden stops, construction vehicles, and debris that may end up in the roadway.”

According to a release issued by Camden County, on both Wednesday and Thursday, crews will close North Hinchman Avenue between Homestead Avenue and Kings Highway West, as well as South Hinchman Avenue between Station Avenue and Chews Landing Road, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Posted detours will direct motorists along an alternate route circumventing the project.

This project is scheduled to be completed by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
