Medford-Vincentown Rotary Club celebrates 15th annual Thanks-Giving event

Over 100 people gathered at the Medford Lakes Country Club for the 15th annual Thanks-Giving Prayer Breakfast (Chris Stokes/Special to The Sun).

Over 130 people from around the community attended the 15th annual Thanks-Giving Prayer Breakfast sponsored by the Medford-Vincentown Rotary Club held at Medford Lakes Country Club.

This year’s event featured representatives from different churches in the community including this year’s keynote speaker Pastor Kathleen Stahl from the Medford United Methodist Church.

Dave Stow, Co-Chairman of the event said, “Every year we strive to keep this event local and we concentrate on giving thanks and remembering to be grateful for all that we have.”

The honor guard from the Seneca High School JROTC presented the colors to begin the morning, which included solo’s by Adele Guth of Shawnee High School and John DiLauro of Seneca High School and an original Thanks-Giving Poem by Remington Walter of Seneca High School.

Other Pastors that participated included Fr. Dan Swift of St. Mary of the Lakes Church, Pastor David Krilov of Fellowship Alliance Chapel, Pastor Rebecca Gresham-Kesner of Faith Presbyterian Church, Pastor Valerie Balling of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and Pastor Tim Meadows of the Protestant Community Church.
