HMHS Madrigals to perform in December

HMHS students to perform three concerts over two days in mid-December.

The Haddonfield Memorial High School Madrigal Singers invite residents to enjoy the music and merriment of the season at their annual Dessert Theater.

On Dec. 13 and 14, the Madrigal Singers will perform at the “Royal Court” in the Performance Hall at Grace Church in Haddonfield. The show will feature songs and dances of the season, a comedy guaranteed to amuse and entertain, a wassail toast, the regal presentation of the Boar’s Head, and complimentary elegant dessert buffet with beverages.

Under the direction of HMHS choir director, Tyler Mills, the student singers appear in renaissance inspired costumes as they present madrigal songs, pieces of vocal music that originated in France and England.

All are invited to attend this special part of Haddonfield’s holiday tradition. The HMHS Madrigal Singers will host three Dessert Theater Performances this season: Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m., then Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for all performances.
