Woman’s Club of Medford hosted annual scarecrow decorating contest on Oct. 5

Residents of Medford and surrounding towns flocked to Main Street as they created their most festive scarecrow displays.

The Woman’s Club of Medford hosted another exciting year of the township’s highly-sought after Scarecrow Decorating contest on Oct. 5 along Main Street. Businesses, organizations, schools and individual let their creativity shine as the scarecrows were later judged. The scarecrows will be on display until just after the annual Halloween parade on Oct. 26.

The following were winners in their respective categories:

  • Family: Residents of Medford Care Center “It’s Howdy Doody Time”
  • Individual: Pola Galie “Ichabod Cranberry”
  • School group: Lenape High School “Count Crow-Ula”
  • Scouts: Girl Scout Troop No. 24205 “Yo Ho, Ho A Girl Scout Life for Me”
  • Nonprofit: N.J. Cameo Club  “Ms. Senior N.J. 2019”
  • Commercial: Stiles Dental “Buzz Lightyear”
  • Miscellaneous: MYAA Cheer “Renegade Cheerleader”
  • Overall best scarecrow: Stiles Dental “Buzz Lightyear”
