High Focus Center of Cherry Hill is offering a free Parent Workshop that will cover school anxiety and refusal on Oct. 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m at Clearview Regional High School.
Anxiety and school refusal are common problems in children and teens, with short and long-term consequences. The group will discuss how parents can identify problematic school anxiety and refusal behaviors early. Additionally, effective techniques and skills will be taught that caregivers can use to reduce this anxiety and problem behavior, thus setting up their children for success.
The title of the workshop is “Getting Kids on the Bus: Understanding School Anxiety and Refusal.”
This workshop will take place in the LGI (near the Main Office in the high school) if the number of participants is less than 80 people. If more than 80 people sign up, the workshop will move to the Toscano Theater.
