The American Red Cross will hold its annual Red Tee Golf Classic on Monday, Oct. 14 at the Woodcrest Country Club, located at 300 East Evesham Road in Cherry Hill. The 2019 Red Tee Golf Classic golfers will enjoy a round of golf complete with fine cuisine in the elegant and warm surroundings of the Woodcrest Country Club clubhouse.
“Join us to support American Red Cross services and enjoy a memorable day out on the green,” said Jack Brady, event committee chairman. “In addition to a great round of golf, this event features delicious food and cocktails, exciting contests, a fantastic silent auction and more.”
Proceeds will help support American Red Cross programs and services, including disaster relief.
When home fires occur and people are displaced, members of the Red Cross Disaster Action Team are called to the scene and ready to help. Disaster responders meet with families and provide emotional support and assistance for temporary lodging, food and clothing as needed. Volunteers also help guide families through the next steps toward recovery. Last year, the Red Cross responded to more than 820 local disasters and provided assistance to 2,150 displaced families across New Jersey.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon followed by an awards ceremony accompanied by cocktails and dinner.
