Autumn returns to Cherry Hill, and with it, plenty to see, do and experience

Township unveils slate of events to celebrate the season.

School’s back in session, football is in full swing, warm days will yield to cool nights, and as the seasons change, the leaves will change color and beautifully descend. There will be no shortage of events to feature the best Cherry Hill has to offer in the artistic, culinary, health and wellness spheres just prior to the holiday season.

Below is a sampling of all the sights, sounds, tastes and smells in which township residents and those throughout the region can partake over the next few months.

Festival-goers will enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, moon bounce, pumpkins, live music, food trucks, a beer garden and, of course, various crafts from local and regional artists.

Crafters, community partners and community organizations are still being accepted. Please email Events@CHTownship.com or visit http://www.cherryhill-nj.com/1126/Harvest-Festival for an application. For information, please call (856) 488-7868 or visit: Events@CHTownship.com.

“Each year, thousands of area residents attend our Harvest Festival for a daylong celebration of local arts, culture, and seasonal activities,” said Mayor Chuck Cahn. “Friends and families can enjoy crafts, games, entertainment, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, great food, and more. It is a great chance for our community to come together and enjoy the beauty and history that surrounds us at our historic Croft Farm. This is truly one of the events that defines Cherry Hill and celebrates what makes our community such a great place to live.”

We infused the festival with amazing headliner names and incorporated lots of local flavor to make this a literary festival that welcomes everyone,” said Sabrina Spector, festival director.

A festival preview is slated for Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. with an appearance by former Major League Baseball Commissioner Allan H. “Bud” Selig, who will read from his book “For the Good of the Game.” Cost is $35 for Katz members and $40 for the general public.
