Police report second fatal pedestrian accident in four days

BTPD is investigating the accident that claimed the life of 20-year-old Ludine Louis

The following information was provided by the Burlington Township Police Department.

At approximately 10:33 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, the Burlington Township Police Department responded to the area of Route 130 and Yubas Avenue for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that Ludine Louis, a 20-year-old female from Hamilton, was crossing the southbound lanes of Route 130 in the area of Yubas Avenue when she was struck by a 2005 Saturn Vue. Louis sustained traumatic injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Louis remained on scene and cooperated with investigating officers.

This collision is still under investigation by members of the Burlington Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and the Burlington Township Police Department Investigations Bureau. No charges have been issued at this time.
