Empowerment, health and finance workshops coming to Rowan College of South Jersey

Three workshops will take place during the month of August at the college's Gloucester County campus in Deptford.

The Center for People in Transition, located on Rowan College of South Jersey’s Gloucester campus, hosts a number of empowerment, health and financial workshops during the month of August.

“Resume Writing” will be held on Monday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. Join Amy Charlesworth, case manager at the Center for People in Transition, to learn how to create an attention-grabbing resume. If you have a resume, please bring it with you. If you need a resume drafted, contact acharles@rcgc.edu or (856) 415-2222 for a personal data form. Do not miss this opportunity to learn how to get your resume noticed and increase the chances of getting that interview.

“Tips for a Successful Interview” will be held on Monday, Aug. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. Charlesworth knows that securing an interview in today’s market is a major victory, but it is only half the battle. Learn what to do before, during and after the interview to land that dream job.

“The Life Skills of Clarity and Perspective – Change Your View, Change Your Life” will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. Join Sharon Roth-Lichtenfeld, certified professional life coach, to learn how changing your perspective can change your life. This workshop will uncover unhealthy perspectives and beliefs, and provide the clarity needed to build a healthier view.

Unless otherwise noted, all workshops are free and open to the public. Registration is mandatory. Call (856) 415-2222 or email peopleintransition@rcgc.edu to register. You must be 18 years or older to attend.
