Sicklerville man arrested in stolen vehicle investigation

Gloucester Township Police made the arrest one day after the stolen vehicle was crashed into a tree.

Gloucester Township Police have identified a man who allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle into a tree on July 10.

On July 11, the Gloucester Township Police Criminal Investigation Bureau identified and charged the operator of the vehicle, a 19-year-old from Sicklerville. He was also charged with numerous thefts from unlocked motor vehicles throughout the Wye Oak development. He was charged with eight counts of burglary and theft, eluding, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a juvenile and employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime. The 19-year-old was remanded to the Camden County Jail following the arrest. The investigation is active and other juvenile suspects are pending arrest for these crimes.

The Gloucester Township Police Department reminds residents to always lock their motor vehicles and do not leave valuables inside.
