Three students from Voorhees were chosen and attended this year’s Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) late last month, a weekend event at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, along with Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club District Governor Alan Stein.
RYLA is a leadership program coordinated by rotary clubs and districts around the globe.
Each year, in our district, over 180 students explore what being a “leader” means to them, through a variety of team-building, problem-solving and cooperative experiences. Participants are chosen for their leadership potential.
