Gas main repair to close Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township

The project will close the road between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, for about one month.

South Jersey Gas will renew a gas main project on Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township on Tuesday, June 25. The project will require a full closure of Chews Landing Road between Lower Landing Road and Front Street.

“Motorists should exercise additional caution while in the area of this construction and remain especially cognizant of debris, crew members, and moving vehicles,” Camden County Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo said. “Until this project is completed, motorists should try to plan around the area and take extra caution when driving through the construction zone.”

The closure is expected to be in effect between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. from June 25 to Tuesday, July 23. There will also be alternating traffic on Chews Landing Road between Taylor Avenue and King Street.

Scheduling and timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.
