Evesham Police arrest fertility clinic employee for allegedly stealing fentanyl

According to police, the alleged thief entered a medication lock-box to steal 60 doses of the drug.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On May 14, officers with the Evesham Township Police Department responded to the South Jersey Fertility Clinic, located at 400 Lippincott Drive, for a report of narcotics allegedly stolen from the facility.

According to police, the initial investigation revealed that an unknown subject(s) allegedly entered a medication lock-box, stealing 60 doses of fentanyl.

Police say the ETPD investigator assigned to the case determined that a new employee had stolen the medication and on four separate occasions prescribed herself pain medications utilizing a doctor’s electronic prescription account.

Arrested:

A female, age 30, of Gibbstown, was charged with four counts of third-degree obtaining narcotics by fraud, third-degree possession of narcotics and two counts of third-degree theft of medications.

She was released on her own recognizance.
