Letter to the Editor: Changing to non-partisan elections is an attempt to hide party affiliation

This letter to the editor was submitted to The Sun from Mt. Laurel resident Karen Cohen:

This letter is in regard to the ordinance the Mt Laurel Republican Council members have proposed to ask the town to vote in a referendum to change the form of government to non-partisan.

If the GOP really wants to convince us that they are only interested in being non-partisan they would A) Take into account the opposition to this referendum, B) Desist from attacking the two Democrats who serve on council and making derogatory attacks about Democratic constituents in the paper and C) Run this referendum when the Republican Council members are not running for council in the very next year.

They truly are the party of Trump who treat us all like gullible fools.
