Alleged instances of DWI, shoplifting, narcotics possession and more in recent arrests from Mt. Laurel Police Department

On May 13 at approximately 8:16 p.m., patrols with the Mt. Laurel Police Department were dispatched to the CVS on Route 38 for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident. According to police, the driver allegedly showed signs of impairment, and upon further investigation, police allegedly observed open containers within the vehicle. Police arrested a 59-year-old female of Mt. Laurel and transported her to MLPD headquarters for processing before releasing her to a third party.

On May 11 at approximately 11:35 a.m., patrols with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Courtney Way for a report of a minor motor vehicle accident. Upon further investigation, police allegedly found the operator, a 45-year-old female of Mt. Laurel, to be intoxicated. Police also recovered a controlled dangerous substance as police arrested the women. Police transported the female to MLPD headquarters for processing before releasing the woman to a third party.

On May 10 at approximately 5:33 p.m., patrols with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department responded to Walmart for a report of shoplifting. While responding to the location, police say the alleged shoplifters were located on Route 73 in proximity to the store. Police detained the individuals, who were allegedly then positively identified by store loss prevention. Police arrested the individuals, each from Philadelphia, for allegedly shoplifting a power-washer and assorted clothing valued at more than $1000. Police transported each individual to MLPD headquarters for processing and then released each on a summons.

On May 7 at approximately 1:10 a.m., patrols with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department conducted a check of an occupied vehicle in the area of S. Route 73 and Church Street. After further police investigation, a police K-9 from a surrounding town responded and alerted for the alleged presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Police conducted a search and allegedly then recovered narcotics paraphernalia. Police then arrested the operator, a 24-year-old male from Egg Harbor Township. Police transported to the individual to MLPD headquarters for processing before releasing the individual on a summons.
