The Harrison Township Memorial Day service will begin at 9 a.m. at the Mullica Hill Baptist with a rifle salute and playing of “Taps.” There, it will proceed down to Old Town Hall for another salute and a wreath laying beginning around 9:15 a.m. The service will continue at William Wilt Soccer Complex around 9:30 a.m. where another rifle salute will occur and “Taps” will be played, plus laying of wreaths at William Wilt’s stone and the veteran’s stone with a short prayer before each one.
Service will conclude at Richwood United Methodist Church (intersection of Route 322 and Richwood Road) at 10 a.m. where the flag will be raised and lowered, a rifle salute will be done and “Taps” will be played.
The Veteran’s Commission and American Legion are giving out red carnations to everyone in attendance to be placed on the graves.
