Mt. Laurel Police make recent arrests related to theft of charity money, DWI and wanted person

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

-On April 27, at approximately 1:52 p.m., patrols responded to 7-Eleven on West Route 38 for a report of a theft. According to police, two individuals entered the store and were allegedly seen taking a charity currency container containing an estimated $280. Patrols searched the area and conducted a pedestrian stop on two individuals allegedly jaywalking on Route 38. Police say the individuals were allegedly found to have outstanding warrants. Police arrested a 27-year-old male from Mt. Laurel and a 20-year-old female from Millville. Police then transported the individuals to MLPD headquarters for processing. At the station, police say each individual gave confessions to the alleged theft and evidence was allegedly recovered corroborating the confessions.

-On April 27 at approximately 11:50 p.m., police conducted a routine motor vehicle stop in the area of Hartford Road and Hainesport Road. Police allegedly confirmed that the driver, a 56-year-old female from Mt. Holly, was a wanted person. Police arrested the individual and allegedly confirmed her to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Police transported the woman to MLPD headquarters for processing.

-On April 27 at approximately 10:25 p.m., a routine motor vehicle stop was conducted on a 33-year-old male of Westampton. Police then arrested the driver for an alleged. DWI. According to police, further investigation revealed the alleged presence of a controlled dangerous substance within the vehicle. Police also arrested the vehcile’s passenger, a 27-year-old female of Philadelphia.
