Senator Troy Singleton to partner with Palmyra Cove Nature Park for shoreline cleanup

Cleanup will take place Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In honor of International Biodiversity Day, Senator Troy Singleton will partner with the Palmyra Cove Nature Park (PCNP) for a cleanup along the Delaware River. The monthly “Serve with Senator Singleton” event will be held on Saturday, May 18, and volunteers are asked to serve along with the Senator from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Palmyra Nature Cove, 1335 Route 73 South.

The Senator and a group of volunteers will lead a trash and debris collection along the shoreline in an effort to maintain healthy waters for the wildlife who depend on them. Volunteers may also help plant flowers used to attract hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.

In the event of rain, volunteers will work on a project to help prevent bird-window strikes. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign-up on the Senator’s website: https://www.senatorsingleton.com/palmyra_nature_cove

“The Palmyra Cove Nature Park displays unique dedication to preserving our natural parks and their inhabitants,” said Singleton. “I look forward to partnering with the Cove to collect waste from the shoreline and am excited to work with the community to celebrate biodiversity through this clean-up.”
