I was at the original Earth Day in California in April 1970. Although many things have been accomplished, I am always amazed about how people throw their coffee cups, water bottles, McDonald bags and other things out their car window. Especially on and off ramps like this is ok. It is not. Where do they think these things end up? Often in storm drains leading to the creeks and rivers.
This is the easiest behavior to change. What happened to having a bag in your car for litter and disposing it properly like we learned in school? I jog on Borton Landing Road. I have for 42 years. I started to pick up the cans, bottles, etc. As this area was developed, the amount of litter has grown as well. The town does not pick it up. Nor should they have too.
