Wiltsey’s Mill Road closes for repairs

Crews began performing an emergency culvert replacement and drainage upgrades on Wiltsey’s Mill Road at North 3rd Street in Winslow Township on Monday, April 15. The project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, during which time Wiltsey’s Mill Road will be closed between Lexington Avenue and Old Forks Road.

“Please allow yourself extra time to reach your destination if your route includes the stretch of roadway where crews are expected to be active,” said Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works. “Anytime a project requires a closure of the roadway you can expect sudden stops, shifting traffic patterns, and other changing conditions. Motorists should be extra careful when approaching and driving through the construction area.”

Crews will be active Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., during which time the entire roadway will be closed. Winslow Township Police will be on site to direct motorists along a posted detour route utilizing Route 30 and Old Forks Road.

This project is expected to be completed by April 29. Scheduling and project timing is dependent on weather and may be adjusted due to unforeseen events.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining 1,200 lane miles of county roadway, 61 major bridges and 145 minor bridges. To report concerns on Camden County roadways, call (856) 566-2980 or visit www.camdencounty.com.
