The Haddon Fortnightly to welcome CASA next week

On Tuesday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m., Jonathan Cummings, Executive Director of the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Camden County will be the guest speaker at the Evening Membership Department of The Haddon Fortnightly, 301 Kings Highway East.  

CASA is part of the national network of community-based non-profit organizations that recruit, screen, and train to volunteers to “Speak Up for a Child” removed from their home due to abuse or neglect. CASA works one-on-one with abused or neglected children, advocating for his or her best interests and work-ing towards achieving permanency in a safe, nurturing home as soon as possible. CASA’s vision is to have a safe and loving home for each child. Mr. Cummings will provide insight into CASA and how the community can help support abused or neglected children.

Admission is free.
