Evesham Police say alert citizen leads police to arrest man allegedly in possession of heroin and methamphetamine

Police say a concerned citizen reported that he allegedly observed a male using narcotics while sitting inside a parked vehicle in the McDonalds lot on Route 70.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On March 26 at approximately 11 a.m., Evesham Police say a concerned citizen contacted the Evesham Township Police Department and reported that he allegedly observed a male using narcotics while sitting inside a parked vehicle in the McDonalds lot on Route 70.

According to police, responding officers located the male in the parking lot.

During the investigation, police say officers allegedly discovered that the male was in possession of heroin, methamphetamine and hypodermic needles.

Arrested:

A male age 27, of Folsom, Pa. was charged with third-degree possession of heroin, third-degree possession of methamphetamine and a disorderly person’s offense for possession of hypodermic needles. He was released on his own recognizance.

According to police officials, the success of the department is enhanced by the active involvement of Evesham residents. When residents call to report suspicious activity, police say they not only help the department, but they make their neighborhood a safer place in which to live, play and work.

Police ask that residents immediately report all suspicious activity to the ETPD at (856) 983-1111 or 911 for crimes in progress.
