The Moorestown Rotary Breakfast Club donated $1,000 to the Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee to help promote a cleaner environment and a healthy lifestyle.

The Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee was formed as a nonprofit to improve and revitalized Strawbridge Lake. This year, with the help of Young’s Landscaping, the banks of the lake and shrubs along Haines Drive were cut back to allow people access to the lake. The committee’s future plans do include having the lake edge cleaned up and cared for each year. The committee is working to possibly add a few floating docks.

The Strawbridge Lake Beautification Committee is excited to present the 2nd Annual Moorestown Paddleboard/Kayak Race on June 8 at Strawbridge Lake.

Please join them for a fun day for the whole family, all while benefiting Strawbridge Lake. The day will feature live bands, face painters, food trucks, vendors and silent auction baskets. They are holding one-mile and four-mile races on the lake. Rentals will be available so everyone can enter.

Early bird race tickets are available online. All racers receive a T-shirt and other race goodies. For more information, please visitwww.strawbridgelakebc.org.

All proceeds benefit Strawbridge Lake care and maintenance fund. Proceeds from last year’s race helped to fund a cleanup of the entire length of Haines Drive.
