Fourth graders at Osage Elementary School donated to The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey
Grade 4 Design Lab students at Osage Elementary School created a community service project called the “Warm Heart Foundation”.
Students sewed small fleece blankets onto tiny stuffed animals. The design was meant to bring “double comfort” to orphans. The students reached out to The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey in Trenton that serves between 300 to 5,000 children through transitional and residential programs.
The toys will be sent to the orphans to “bring comfort and share what we have because we have a mom and dad and they don’t,” said Sireen Shahid, the design lab project manager.
