Cherry Hill resident joins local law firm as a partner

Michael A. Weinberg has joined Weinberg Kaplan and Smith in Marlton.

Cherry Hill resident Michael A. Weinberg has joined Weinberg Kaplan and Smith law firm in Marlton as a partner. Weinberg joins co-founding partners Dawn Kaplan and Amy Smith. Previously, he was a shareholder with Archer & Greiner, P.C., and served as co-chair of the matrimonial department.

Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a matrimonial law attorney, Weinberg focuses his practice on complex and sensitive matrimonial and family law matters, representing high net worth individuals, business executives, entrepreneurs and their spouses.

Weinberg is widely recognized as an outstanding leader in the field of family law throughout New Jersey and serves as chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee, and is the co-chair of the Camden County Bar Association Family Law Section.

Throughout his many years of practice, Weinberg has been an active member of the state and local New Jersey matrimonial bar and also serves as a matrimonial early settlement panelist for Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.

Weinberg is a frequent lecturer on matrimonial topics before, and on behalf of, various groups, including the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Business Institute.

His written articles have been published in the New Jersey Family Lawyer, where he serves as an Associate Managing Editor. He has also appeared on the television programs “Legal Lines” and “Legally Speaking” to discuss recent developments in New Jersey matrimonial law.

Weinberg has been named among the “Best Lawyers in America” and awarded the designation “Top Attorney” in the area of divorce and family law by SJ Magazine.

He serves on the executive committee, New Jersey State Bar Association, family law section and is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice, American Bar Association and Camden County Bar Association.

Weinberg is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Bentley College and his J.D. magna cum laude from Capital University Law School, where he was a published author in the “Law Review.”
