Moorestown gears up for ‘Night at the Phillies’

The annual fundraiser will take place on Friday, May 3.

“Evan Welch — Night At The Phillies” has become an annual tradition for the Moorestown community. It’s a night of fun, remembrance and support. This year it will be held on Friday, May 3 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support The Evan Welch Scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating Moorestown High School senior. The scholarship was created in memory of Moorestown High School student, Evan Welch, whose life was claimed in a drunk-driver accident in December 2007.

This event not only supports this valuable scholarship, it provides the Moorestown community an opportunity to gather together in honor of Evan, to celebrate his life and to share ongoing support with his family and friends.

The Phillies will face off against the Washington Nationals. The cost of the event is $20.00 per ticket, which can be paid for via cash or check made payable to MEF — memo Welch Scholarship.

Tickets are on sale now through Friday, April 12.

If you have a Mooretown High School student, send your student to D-105 to purchase tickets. If you don’t have a MHS student, contact Eileen Fitzpatrick via e-mail at efitzpatrick@mtps.com to make arrangements.
