Ever get a phone call from the “IRS” stating the cops are coming for you if you don’t buy a few gift cards to pay off your “debt”? How about an email saying your bank account has been compromised? All you have to do is click a link and enter your personal information to clear everything up.

These are scams. And, according to a recent study, a lot of New Jersey residents are afraid of them.

Oh, the places you’ll go!

Indian Mills School celebrated Read Across America with four days filled with Dr. Seuss-inspired themes.

Starting on March 1, the students dressed in pajamas in honor of “The Sleep Book.” On March 4, students flaunted attire from places they’ve visited inspired by “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” On March 5, they wore red, white and black like “The Cat in the Hat.” They finished off their celebration on March 6 with “Wacky Wednesday.”

Committee discusses rotary plans and marijuana

During public comment, residents raised concerns regarding the previously discussed rotary and the possibility of growing marijuana on farms in town.

At the February committee meeting, the committee reviewed the Burlington County engineer’s concept plan to put a rotary at the intersection of Route 541 and Willow Grove Road.

Resident Elaine Billmeyer did not agree with putting a rotary in place, addressing the committee while saying, “You say it’s not going to cost us anything, but I think we all pay a lot in federal taxes — nothing is free. I wonder if there’s something they can do instead that would be cheaper, such as a four-way stop.”
