Police allegedly found a driver operating a motor vehicle under the influence of narcotics and a passenger with distribution amounts of heroin and crack cocaine.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On March 3 at 7:19 p.m., officers with the Evesham Township Police Department were patrolling in the Heritage neighborhood following a tip from a concerned resident who contacted the department to report allegedly suspicious activity in the area.
Officers were immediately assigned to the area and a few hours after the tip, police say one of the officers observed a vehicle that matched the description given by the complainant, which was being operated in a careless manner.
During the vehicle stop investigation, police say the officer developed probable cause to arrest the driver for allegedly operating the motor vehicle under the influence of narcotics.
According to police, a subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly resulted in the seizure of distribution amounts of heroin and crack cocaine from the passenger.
Arrested:
A female, age 22, of Marlton, was charged with driving under the influence of narcotics and a disorderly personâs offense for possession of frug paraphernalia. She was released own her own recognizance.
A male, age 38, of Marlton, was charged with third-degree possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute and third-degree possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail.
