Longtime Haddonfield resident passed away last week at 98

Vilma Ferzola (née Albertelli), passed away on March 3, 2019, at the age of 98. She was a longtime Haddonfield resident, wife of the late Louis Gardine and the late Joseph Ferzola. Vilma was the beloved mother of Thomas (Rosie) and Robert (Kimberly), treasured grandmother to Matthew(Tania), Rebecca (Justin), Raymond and William, loving great-grandmother to Tatum, Lucy, Jacob and Eve and loving sister to Eddie Albertelli, Evo Albertelli and Inez Tinghitella.

Vilma had been actively involved in the Haddonfield community. She was on the Senior Citizens Advisory Board for the Mabel Kay Senior Center and a faithful member of the Christ the King Roman Catholic Church for many years. Vilma was a talented artist and her oil paintings are cherished by family and friends.

Vilma’s family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, March 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Avenue. All are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial following visitation, at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 200 Windsor Avenue.

Interment will take place at Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Interfaith Caregivers, P.O. Box 186, Haddonfield, N.J. 08033 (www.ifchaddons.org).
