‘Little Shop of Horrors’ set for WHS stage on Feb. 28-March 2

Williamstown High School Drama Club finishes the 2018–19 school year with their spring musicalLittle Shop of Horrors” by Howard Ashman with music from Alan Menken.

Meek flower shop assistant Seymour pines for co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey’s boyfriend, Orin, to the plant after Orin’s accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant. Take a trip to Skid Row to witness a story of love, rise to fame, and horror.

Directing the musical is Andrea Krapevka, Williamstown acting teacher & drama club advisor, along with Ryan Carlin as music director, Mallory Beach as choreographer, and Melissa Wegmann as assistant director.

All performances will take place in the Williamstown High School auditorium on Thursday, Feb. 28th; Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2. All shows start at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m., with a matinee on Saturday at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.. Student and Senior (65+) tickets are $7 at the pre-sale and $10 at the door. Adult tickets are $10 at the pre-sale and $12 at the door.
