Township urges e-waste recycling

Press release from Monroe Township Department of Public Works

The Monroe Township Public Works department is open to residents to safely and securely recycle unwanted electronic waste. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m..

Electronic devices are not permitted to be placed curbside for disposal and must be dropped off at the public works department for recycling. As per the NJ Electronic Waste Management Act, there shall be no disposal of electronic waste in the regular waste stream.

Accepted electronic items are: televisions, computer monitors, cell phones and telephones, printers, copiers, modems, fax machines, VCRs, DVD players, game consoles, laptops, CD players, keyboards, scanners, PC speakers, audio and video equipment, tablets, hard drives, AC adapters and MP3 players and iPods.
