Police say the alleged incident took place on Feb. 19 at 2:05 a.m.

Officials with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department say police responded to Wawa at 3963 Church Road for an alleged shoplifting on Feb. 19 at approximately 2:05 a.m.

According to police, a male entered the store and asked the cashier for a carton of Newport 100’s and a ginger ale.
Police say the male allegedly attempted to quickly swipe a credit card backwards and then immediately walked toward the store exit.
According to police, the male got into a dark sport utility vehicle and headed toward Route 73.
